October's challenge at Crafty Individuals - 3D Halloween project / Challenge d'octobre Crafty Individuals en mode Halloween

Et oui octobre est déjà là, et donc le nouveau challenge de Crafty Individuals aussi!!! Impossible pour moi de vous le présenter plus tôt et de poster avant ce que j'ai choisi de créer pour illustrer le challenge, depuis quelque temps je croule sous les trucs à faire, drôles... ou moins drôles, mais c'est la vie, elle ne peut pas être rose tous les jours. Cela dit je ne me plains pas, ce week-end j'ai pu souffler un peu et il s'est avéré fantastique, c'était une très bonne surprise!! J'ai participé à une Crop géniale, entourée d'amies et de personnes géniales.. La Crop était animée par Dominike et Titbelsoeur, je vous en parlerai plus longuement quand je vous montrerai leur projet mixed-media et ma version de leur album. Place au challenge maintenant...

HALLOWEEN MADNESS OR CHRISTMAS FRENZY, voici le thème qu'a choisi Gio ce mois-ci! En bref, vous avez le choix entre Halloween ou Noël...

C'est Gio qui choisira en fin de mois ses 5 réas favorites parmi toutes les entrées, et les gagnantes recevront un tampon de leur choix.

Et en plus, rien qu'en participant au challenge vous gagnez si vous le souhaitez un bon de 25% de remise sur votre commande (valable jusqu'au 10 novembre). Voici ma participation en mode Halloween. J'ai peaufiné ma réa DT vous allez voir (heu.. et j'espère aimer aussi un peu hein, vu le temps qu'elle m'a pris celle-là!!!). C'est un projet 3D composé de 3 éléments faits en partant de rien, avec du carton épais, de la toile à coller, des poudres à embosser, des pochoirs, du plastique fou...  et bien sûr des tampons! Je n'ai pas utilisé les derniers reçus, ils ne convenaient pas au thème que j'ai choisi, et en plus j'aime tellement ceux que j'ai choisis. Ils sont toujours en vente bien sûr. Vous pourrez cliquer sur les images pour agrandir (si canalblog le permet cette fois, car bien souvent ça bugue).

Je me suis inspirée de deux articles d'un ancien numéro de Craft Stamper (Octobre 2012), une tour faite par Gail Milburn, à partir d'un template que vous pouvez encore aujourd'hui récupérer sur le site web s'il vous intéresse; et un article écrit par Glenda Waterworth, où elle se sert de multiples poudres à embosser pour réaliser tout un fond carte sublime!!! ça m'était resté dans la tête... Ensuite j'ai joué avec mes tampons Crafty Individuals de différentes manières, en utilisant soit du plastique fou ou des chutes de papier, ou encore en les tamponnant directement en place à l'encre Stazon.

Comme c'est un post assez long avec beaucoup de photos, je vous mettrai d'autres photos intermédiares avec davantage d'explications dans un post séparé demain. 

So here's my project, a 3D Halloween one consisting of 3 elements made from scratch using greyboard, sticky canvas, embossing powders, shrink plastic, stencils... and of course stamps! I didn't use the newly released Crafty Individuals stamps for this one, but I love so much the ones I chose, perfect for the theme and still on sale. Hope you will like my Halloween offering... The start of my creative process has been two features of my fave Craft Stamper magazine in the same issue (October 2012). I loved the project made by Gail Milburn and chose to use her tower template offered with the magazine that you can still download on their website. Also, the way Glenda Waterworth used embossing powders to recover all parts of a card was really amazing!!! I had kept her technique in mind since then and I did the same thing, playing with masks and different embossing powders to build little by little some backgrounds on pieces of sticky canvas! So all parts (except for the middle part of the box) are entirely heat-embossed using stencils and powers. I have just glued the pieces on thick greyboard to create my final pieces. Also used many stamps (mainly from Crafty Individuals, and also a bit from Chocolate Baroque) either stamped directly in place (using Stazon ink), or on scraps of paper or shrink plastic before adhering all these in 3D.

On commence par la boite, allez... Je l'ai remplis de fioles, d'os et de squelettes... :D Je vous montrerai tout ça une autre fois! J'ai utilisé le tampon CI-360 'Poison and Danger'. Il est tamponné tout autout de ma boite (vous verrez comment j'ai fait en détails demain), et je m'en suis aussi servi pour créer quelques embellissements en plastique fou.. J'adore!!!

Let's start with the box full of vials, bones and skulls... :D I will show them another time! :) I used the fabulous CI-360 'Poison and Danger' to stamp bottles all around and also to make a few embellishments in shrink plastic. They are put on top of the box, also hanged to ball chain. I love this stuff!!

 La tour à présent, ma pièce préférée mais aussi celle qui m'a donné le plus de travail! J'ai décoré toutes les faces, en me servant des tampons  CI-249 'Gothic Door', CI-360 'Poison and Danger', et CI-361 'The Crow'. J'ai rajouté aussi quelques tampons de la marque Chocolate Baroque pour compléter mes décors. 

The tower now, my favorite piece as it has been a lot of work! All sides are decorated using  CI-249 'Gothic Door', CI-360 'Poison and Danger', and CI-361 'The Crow'. I put additional stamps by Chocolate Baroque to complete the scenes. 

 

 C'est beau non??? Je redeviens une vraie gosse devant ce spectacle attendrissant... :-o)

Isn't it beautiful? I'm like a child in front of this cute scene.. :-o)

Et voici le dernier élément... C'est un petit panneau monté sur carton épais. J'ai utilisé le tampon CI-361 'The Crow'. Mon bel oiseau fait en plastique fou et mes arbres tamponnés sur le fond, ainsi que la citation, viennent de cette planche. Les deux petits gnomes squelettes sont des tampons de chez VivaLasVegas par contre.

Here's the last thing... A little board. I used the stamp CI-361 'The Crow'. My beautiful crow made of shrink plastic and my stamped naked trees in the background as well as the quote come from this stamp. The two funny skull gnomes are VLVS stamps however.
