A Mixed Media Christmas canvas - Crafty Individuals + 'Tic Tac Toe' OCC challenge

Je cours toujours après le temps... je pensais poster tranquillement ce matin et aller un peu sur les blogs ou répondre à mes mails, mais j'ai été encore une fois happée par le quotidien!!! Je vous montre quand même comme prévu un petit décor de Noël réalisé sur toile canvas que j'aime beaucoup, laissé comme un peu inachevé volontairement, et quelques cartes de voeux que je n'ai pas trouvé le temps de vous montrer jusqu'ici.. Le temps m'a vraiment manqué pour les partager avec vous. Il m'en reste encore une autre série d'ailleurs, il est possible que je garde au chaud mes photos jusqu'à l'an prochain maintenant! :o)
Comme mon canvas participe à un challenge sur le blog de Our Creative Corner, je vous mets les explications en anglais. Mais si besoin n'hésitez pas à me demander.
This month's challenge over at Our Creative corner has been set by Julia. If you don't know Julia yet, please hop over her blog urgently, as she's a star in my opinion... a very inspiring lady, who makes amazing creations each time. So I'm sincerely happy to have been able to join in her challenge in time and play with the lovely ladies at OCC for once. Julia has challenged us to go for a Tic Tac Toe grid which gives lots of scope for inspiration. We have to choose one line from a grid. This can be a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, but the most important constraint is to select the middle square as one of our choices.
I chose the diagonal including "Embossing Powders, Stamps, and Lace/Ribbon/Twine".
I love stamps of course but also embossing powders, it is one of my favourite craft supplies to work with so I've decided to make a last festive canvas including all the elements needed to fulfil the diagonal. Firstly I've done my background using paints, Gesso, .. It looks like a bit unfinished, but I liked the effect and chose to stop my creative process deliberately (you can see it at the end if you are interested) then I've stamped several stamps either on good and heavy stamping paper or on tissue paper - for a smooth integration on the contrary -, and heat embossed them using either my Wow! Black Glint embossing glitter or Ranger Frosted Crystal Antiquities powder. I fussy cut out all my images except the ones on tissue paper being torn up using a small wet brush. To embellish my canvas I've also added a lot of die-cuts, scraps of painted papers, a beautiful MDF frame painted in white I've found in Crafty Individuals shop (covered with delicate snowflakes using Versamark and next heat embossed also with my Black Glint powder), and Liquid Pearls in Ruby Red at the heart of my winter flowers, sprinkled with a bit of Glamour Dust glitter and Frosted Crystal powder. For the finishing touch I have added a bit of Gold Mica and glitter (Stampendous) frantage at the bottom.
I warn you this is a photo heavy post as at the end of this I also offer you a few additional cards done the last days of January hahaha to wish an Happy New year to my family and friends, and I also quickly show how I made my painted background as a starting point. It's at the end so you can skip it if you wish.
The stamps I've used are all by Crafty Individuals except one. I have chosen 'Winter Garden' (CI-425), 'Jolly Holly Robins' (CI-424), 'Snowflakes Background' (CI-241), 'Magical Reindeer' (CI-358) and 'Christmas Postage Stamps' (CI-420). On this latter I have used the little angel only, it's so lovely that I wanted it to become the central image on my canvas. I took a scrap of red painted paper and a postage stamp (from French brand Florilèges Design) to frame it... it has the perfect size!
Here's my canvas. Hope you like it despite it's no more Christmas lol!!!..
Sur ce tableau j'ai utilisé les tampons Crafty Individuals 'Winter Garden' (CI-425), 'Jolly Holly Robins' (CI-424), 'Snowflakes Background' (CI-241), 'Magical Reindeer' (CI-358) et 'Christmas Postage Stamps' (CI-420). Sur ce dernier je n'ai pris que le petit ange, j'adore ce tampon que j'ai aussi en grand... Je voulais le mettre à l'honneur au centre de mon canvas. J'ai pris une chute de papier peint en rouge et j'ai tamponné un timbre un peu plus grand (Florilèges Design) pour l'encadrer... la taille correspondait parfaitement! Le joli cadre tamponné avec des flocons vient aussi de la boutique de Jean et Malcolm, qui sont les propriétaires de Crafty Individuals. S'il vous intéresse vous pouvez le retrouver en forme ovale ici, je crois qu'ils sont en rupture de stock pour celui ci.

Voilà, j'espère que ça vous plait et que ça vous donnera envie d'acheter quelques tampons Crafty Individuals directement sur le site (on ne les trouve pas en France malheureusement). Comme ces tampons ne sont pas montés, les frais de port sont réduit en général, et en plus vous avez très souvent un petit lot de tampons cadeaux qui vous est offert généreusement en prime. J'ai été cliente chez eux bien avant de faire partie de la DT, et je n'ai jamais regretté mes achats!!!

Et non non pas encore de cours en tout cas pas de manière organisée ou loin de mon domicile.. Je vais peut-être bientôt commencer à faire quelques ateleirs dans un magasin de loisirs créatifs près de chez moi par contre, mais je ne pense pas aller plus loin pour raisons familiales et professionnelles
- Oh, I'm so envious of you, Coco!! You're already ahead with making Christmas creations for 2015!! You are waaaay ahead!! I'll remember this in November/December!! Isn't the game of Tic-Tac-Toe fun? It's a great motivation and you've used the challenge to your advantage wonderfully!! Your canvas is beautiful--I want to touch it! And your cards and tag--Just fabulous!!
