Un grand tag mixedmedia - challenges The Artistic Stamper, Craft Barn & Craft Stamper
Bonjour! Helloooo!
I show you today a large mixedmedia tag I had fun to do, playing with my Neil Walker stamps for once yippee!!.. These stamps are great but I don't have much time to play with them very often, sadly.
My background was made at first with Distress reinkers (in particular the strong red line was done by simply dragging the tip of my Aged Mahogeny reinker accross my tag, following the technique used by Anna-Karin Evaldsonn in the last Craft Stamper magazine - always so inspiring! - love how it has turned indeed!.. I recommend you to have a try on it too, it's fun and so easy!).
Next, I played with my Alphabet Soup Background & Border stamp and embossed the border with Distress Weathered wood, and part of the main text in white...
My texture at the bottom and on the hearts and diamonds was made before the previous step using two masks (check the list of supplies, the one by Giovanna Zara is one of my favorites, and forever!!) and clear gesso/crackle paste, once dry I spritzed a bit of Distress Tarnished Brass then applied onto my 'paved street' two antiquing creams ((just bought! I wanted to have a try on them.. nice effect here), brown shades, and some Treasure Golds (Copper at the edges and Spanish Gold at the center)...
I chose to ink for the first time this wonderful sir Franswar... Stamped two times, the second one on tissue paper and fussy cut out for the face and part of his shoulders only, next painted on the reverse side using PA paints snowflake, a bit of Irish Cream diluted with water and also French Roast... and then glued with matte medium to be totally merge with the original one. I love the result, I just highlighted a bit more some areas using transculent green paint and markers maybe, I can't remember!
The little bee Franswar is observing with some amusement - stamped, embossed in gold, reinked and stamped in black again - comes from the very beautiful plate Insect and Butterflies. It's just very cute ^^
The two snails are also from the stamps set Insect and Butterflies. I stamped them on tissue paper in Coffee, they were clear embossed then easily cut out thanks to a fine brush and water and adhered on my paved street using Matte medium... Maybe a little bit strange to find them on a street haha, but so much fun for me to integrate them into my decor - a bit in a transparent way for even more fun - !!! To make them shine, I put a little Smooch gold ink on the biggest snail shell, and embossed the two shells with my Wow! EP in Gold highlight.
I'd like to enter it in three challenges very inspiring:
