Some news.. and A card and its envelope for Tando Creative / des nouvelles.. et une carte pour Tando

Bonjour à tous, Hi all there, 

Avant tout merci pour toutes vos visites, messages, cartes et petits mots précédents... c'est toujours un grand plaisir de les découvrir.

J'ai passé une bonne semaine de vacances, ce qui m'a permis de recharger un peu mes batteries mais aussi de faire le point dans ma vie et mes priorités... J'ai pris une décision qui me désole un peu, mais qui je pense est la meilleure pour le bien-être de ma famille et de mes proches. J'ai décidé d'arrêter ma DT Tando Creative, être DT dans une équipe internationale n'est pas de tout repos, et même si ça a été une expérience fantastique et que j'ai été très bien accueillie dans l'équipe, il est temps pour moi de me recentrer sur mes priorités familiales et professionnelles (je vais changer d'activité prochainement, et me former à un nouveau domaine de recherche va certainement me prendre aussi du temps). 

Je n'arrête pas le scrap pour autant bien sûr, ni mon blog, mais je ferai simplement les choses à un rythme moins soutenu je pense dans les mois à venir. ça inclut aussi sans doute mes visites sur vos blogs, je tacherai de vous suivre autant que possible malgré tout, mais ne m'en voulez pas si je ne peux vous laisser un com' à chaque visite... Merci à toutes les personnes qui continueront quand même à me suivre et apprécier mon blog.

Unusually I'd like to say a little bit about myself personally. I have had good hols with my family, I took a good breath more than welcome... It also gave me the opportunity to think about my life and take stock of the situation and of the problems my intense crafting pace raises. Unfortunately, I have decided to resign from my Design Team at Tando Creative  and I thank Di and all the ladies in the team for having me welcomed so well. It was not an easy decision, I'm very sad to no more share in the future most of my works with my Tando goodies on Tando's blog like overall the last year and up to now. It has been a fabulous experience and I had an absolute blast in it, but being DT on a regular basis while keeping a job and having also young children to take care and a big family is a huge commitment, and sometimes 'real life' just must take precedence... That is currently the case for me. 

I'm having to re-assess certain things in my life and this includes my DT job for Tando - as well as blogging - which really take me so much time that it impacts badly on those around me... I know it now. I'm not giving up my creative journey though, I will continue to create, however I just should share my crafty production at a slower pace in the months to come I think.  

I hope you will also bear with me as I won't be making so many visits to your blogs over the next while but I do hope to be able to keep making and posting my productions to share them with you as I love to do, and I will continue to visit you as much as possible of course. Thank-you so much everyone for your continued visits. 

Voilà... Place au scrap à présent. Le thème de cette semaine sur le blog Tando est 'Noir et Vert'. J'ai réalisé une carte et son envelope assortie pour la fête des pères, un peu en avance pour une fois!... :) J'espère que vous aimerez l'idée. Mon enveloppe est une simple enveloppe postale blanche de taille 22 x 11cm.   

Having said that, here's my sample for our 'Black and Green' themed week on Tando's blog: I made a card and its envelope. I made this set for Father's Day, a bit in advance for once.. :) Hope you like. 

Here's the front of the envelope (using a classical DL size i.e. 22x11cm):  

J'ai peint grossièrement mon enveloppe à la peinture grise foncée, et j'ai tamponné un peu de peinture noire sur les bords. J'ai utilisé la partie haute de mon Hearts Background Mask pour créer des rangées de coeurs en relief, en appliquant de la Grunge Paste, que j'ai peints ensuite en vert (j'ai opté pour la couleur Chartreuse de Paper Artsy, et une couleur brillante de Silks Acrylic Glaze: Olive Vine). Pour finir j'ai mis de la Treasure Gold Olive Bronze sur les reliefs et les bords de l'enveloppe, et j'ai ajouté quelques tampons de l'Encre Et L'image et des chutes de feuille de métal verte après l'avoir embossée.

Starting with the envelope, I roughly and quickly painted it in dark grey first and lightly dabbed a bit of black paint over some areas and around the edges. Then I took my Hearts Background Mask and applied Grunge paste over the upper layer of the mask only. Once dry, I put my mask again and painted all the hearts in two shades of green (I used Paper Artsy Chartreuse and Silks Acrylic Glaze Olive Vine), and for the finishing touch also added a bit of Treasure Gold (Olive Bronze). I decorated it with stamped images on the theme of DIY and Dad ('Papa' in French), and bits of embossed green metal sheet and a metal pin.

J'ai utilisé les adorables petits outils mini tools de la dernière Release pour décorer plusieurs petits carrés et rectangles métalliques, après les avoir embossés avec le classeur 'Riveted' de Tim Holtz. Je les ai mattés sur du papier assez épais de couleur olive. Ils sont vraiment parfaits pour illustrer ce genre de carte à l'occasion de la fête des pères!.. J'ai peint rapidement chaque petit outil en noir et gris, et ajouté un peu de Treasure Gold, assez optionnel car l'effet sans était déjà très joli... Pour finir j'ai rajouté quelques brads en forme de vis, un peu de ficelle... c'est tout!  

I used the lovely new Release mini tools to decorate several small metallic squares and rectangles after embossing using a Riveted folder. I cut all pieces to fit the shape of every tool and matted on olive cardboard each. I found they were really perfect for a Father's day card!... I painted each tool very quickly using black soot and grey paints, and applied with my finger a bit of Treasure Gold (but I think it's optional). All my papers were distressed and I added 3 screws brads painted in black and quickly wiped off next - like all the other metallic parts - and also some twine to finish. Et voila!

A fantastic card Coco - those tools are brilliant. I definitely understand your thinking and reasoning regarding blogging and DTs. I can understand that you are very sad to have to cut back but you have very good reason - it is not easy to juggle so many responsibilities without someone or something suffering. Now that you have made decisions, take each day as it comes. I will be very glad if you can continue in blogland and especially keep creating. Dont worry about not being able to visit as I know how much time it can take up. Have a lovely weekend and stay well. Nicola x

This is a fabulous card and envelope Coco, I really love these colours together. Your post rang so many bells about trying to fit in work, and a family with crafting and blogging. You just need to find the right balance, (easier said than done) and family always comes first xx

Je n'ai une fois de plus pas reçu la news, voilà pourquoi je me manifeste si tard ma tite Coco, je ne t'oublie pas et ne te lâche pas.

J'aime beaucoup ta carte avec l'esprit "bricolo" qui colle parfaitement à beaucoup de "papa" c'était le cas du mien et il aurait très apprécié cette carte.
