Bonjour à toutes ! Je souhaite la bienvenue à Marie-Françoise, Michèle et Joanna, ainsi qu'à une autre personne dont j'ignore le prénom. J'espère que vous vous plairez dans mon univers, si vous avez un blog, surtout n'hésitez pas à vous faire connaitre afin que je puisse vous rendre une petite visite ! J'ai aussi une abonnée anonyme, que je ne garderai pas.

Voilà, aujourd'hui ce sera encore un post assez long, j'espère ne pas trop vous lasser ! Je vous montre une série de tags, faite en m'inspirant de celui de février de Tim Holtz, ce qui me permet de participer à son challenge '12 Tags de 2014'. Je suis contente d'avoir réussi à prendre le train en route cette année !!... J'aimerais bien les faire tous d'ailleurs, c'est vraiment un format que j'aime beaucoup, mais malheureusement les jours défilent si vite qu'il est souvent trop tard pour le faire...

Avec mon premier tag, je vous souhaite une bonne fête de la St Valentin ! (avec un jour de retard, mais mieux vaut tard que jamais, non?..)

Et comme je suis l'invitée créative de l'Antre Scrap tout au long du mois, j'en profite pour le faire participer au challenge tag en cours sur le blog, un challenge proposé par Laé. Pour son 1er challenge elle nous propose de réaliser un tag sur le thème de l'amour avec quelques petites consignes en plus : mettre du rouge, au moins un coeur et le mot amour, même dans une autre langue. J'ai choisi le mot LOVE.

Voici mon tag.

Hello everyone! You know how much I love tags... even more than cards I think! So each time I see Tim Holtz's tag post with its tutorial at the beginning of each month, I always hope I will have enough time to have a go on the technique it gives! But unfortunately, time goes really fast and at the end of the month, it's too late to create something to enter the challenge... So this time I did it, I'm happy!!! And I will try to do also the January tag as soon as possible, to be able to realize the whole 12 tags of 2014 (at least i'd love to).

So here's my take on Tim's very romantic February tag, a tag for my Valentine... Very lovely inspiration!

I never like to copy, but rather take various elements for my inspiration and then go my own way. I think that's acceptable. I followed Tim's base process, using distress Stain inks misted with a bit a water - I just replaced his set of colours pumice stone/milled lavender/frayed burlap by a mix pumice stone/milled lavender and Pewter, as far as I remember..! - and then stenciled using the 'Stars' stencil instead of the 'Hearts' I don't have (To tell you the truth, it is the only one I have from him, and I have not (not yet haha!) any 'Hearts' stencil... and I wanted stars anyway), with different shades of rose/red distress colours. Neither do I have any Red Glitter but I have some Spark! Tinsel glitter red, so I replaced it by this one on my grungeboard heart.

Also, I don't have the industrious stickers border... To replace it I die-cut in a metal sheet a lovely border quite similar using a Memory Box die. I then decorated my tag with my new vintage stamps just received, by Crafty Individuals (CI-403 for the image, and CI-407 for the sentiment) and a die-cut telephone, inked in Fired Brick and covered with Sepia Accents.

I first embossed my elements with Frosted Crystal as Tim's recommends, but after a first trial using white chalk and also white Panpastel to compare, i was not really happy with the result... I think it's my fault, I probably overheat it!! Well, I don't like the waste, So I changed direction and applied lightly some Picked Fence over the top, before rubbing away most of the white ink to create just a bit chalky background on my small tag.. Then added Fired Brick to highlight the texture.. and played with my Posca white pen to conclude! You can see the difference with the sentiment on which I put white chalk only. I think I will have another try on Tim's technique later!!

Personnellement je n'aime pas trop copier ça perd de son charme pour moi, donc je pioche quelques éléments, et ensuite je laisse libre cours à mon inspiration... Du coup mon tag est assez différent, mais le fond est fait en suivant le tuto de Tim (j'ai juste remplacé le trio de couleurs initiales Distress stain pumice stone/milled lavender/frayed burlap par un mélange pumice stone/milled lavender et Pewter, de mémoire!). Le fond est donc fait avec un mélange d'encres distress Stain pshittées et mélangées avec un peu d'eau, ensuite les étoiles sont embossées à chaud à la poudre transparent après avoir passé de la distress rose/rouge sur le pochoir, en variant l'intensité des couleurs...

A la place des coeurs, j'ai mis des étoiles car c'est mon seul pochoir de Tim Holtz ('Stars') lol, et j'avais envie d'étoiles... J'ai aussi remplacé sur mon coeur en grungeboard le distress glitter rouge par du Spark tinsel glitter. J'ai utilisé un die Memory Box pour faire ma bordure en métal, et j'ai embelli mon tag avec des tampons de chez Crafty Individuals et un die-cut telephone, encré en rouge également et recouvert de Sepia Accents.

J'ai ai profité pour essayer mes nouveaux tampons, le CI-403 pour l'image avec le téléphone (j'adore!!), et le CI-407 pour le sentiment. J'ai travaillé mon image en l'embossant en Frosted Crystal (transparent cristallisé) comme indiqué. Mais après quelques essais à la craie blanche et aussi au Panpastel blanc pour comparer, je n'étais pas vraiment satisfaite du résultat, et du coup j'ai passé une légère couche de Distress Picket Fence sur l'ensemble, puis essuyé le tout pour retirer le maximum de couleur blanche sur l'ensemble et les motifs embossés, en laissant juste un fond un peu crayeux... J'ai passé un peu de Fired Brick sur le relief, et rajouté quelques traits de Posca blanc.

Vous pouvez voir la différence avec le sentiment à la craie blanche que j'ai conservé... :D

Bon, mais comme j'ai décidé d'optimiser mon temps de création cette année, je ne me suis pas contentée de faire un tag... j'en ai fait trois !

Voici le second tag...

And well... as I said that this year I wanted to optimize my creative process, I made three tags insteas a single one! :D I used the same technique but made different backgrounds.

Here's my second tag...

Sur ce second tag, j'ai utilisé des anciens stickers rub-ons, et j'ai collé une pastille transparente sur la figure de la petite fille, je l'ai aussi encadrée avec un engrenage en carton peint en noir et recouvert de crackle glaze, je l'aime bien ce tag !

On this second tag, I used old rub-ons stickers, and I adhered a clear epoxy sticker over the top of the little girl's face. I also framed it using a small chipboard gear, first painted in black and covered with Crackle Glaze. I had fun with this tag!

Je vous montre Le dernier tag pour finir. J'ai opté pour mon mask 'Floral Grid' de Crafty Individuals sur le fond, pour changer un peu. Au final je l'aime beaucoup aussi celui-ci, il est plus doux et plus féminin !

And now the third one... I changed my background stencil for fun and took my 'Floral Grid' Crafty Individual's mask instead of 'Stars'. I highlighted each floral shape using both a white Posca pen and an Artist fine black marker, and intensified the rose colour so that it can support this pink and red metallic gear (a leftover from a previous project). I love this tag too, sweet and feminine !

Une petite photo des 3 tags réunis pour finir, sur ma table d'autoroute dans mon jardin... Ils ont bien failli ne pas échapper aux trombes d'eau !! Mon jardin est complètement inondé !!!

A last photo of the three tags together sitting on the old wooden table in the middle of my garden.. They escaped barely to the rain, it was pouring of rain when I took my photos yesterday as all those last days, my poor garden is flooded !!!
